Due to the English release, a number of aspiring card players arise here and there, from other TCG games to anime lovers alike. And like everybody else, one question tops all the FAQs: How do I start playing the game?
First of all, you need to know how the game works. There are three easy ways to learn the game: 1) Watch the Anime, 2) Read the rules and 3) Watch an actual card fight.
Watch the Anime
Episode 1 and 2 taught me the basics of CardFight!! Vanguard. Yeah, I know, Aichi, Kai, and the Imagine... Blah blah blah... But seriously. It worked for me.
Read the rules
For technical people. But that's how it should be right? See for yourself: http://cf-vanguard.com/en/howto/
Watch an actual card fight
Card fighters are *usually* friendly, especially to newbies in the game. While watching, you may ask them politely on what's going on on the fight. I myself watched a Pale Moon vs. Dimension Police fight before having my own deck. It was confusing to watch at first, then eventually I understood with no effort at all. ^^
Now that you know the basics, it's time to have your own deck!
December 3, 2011, two trial deck were made available to public, Trial Deck: Blaster Blade and Dragonic Overload. If you watched the anime, you will pretty much know each deck already. TD: Blaster Blade is based on the Royal Paladin clan used by the main protagonist Aichi while TD: Dragonic Overload is based on the Kagero clan used by Kai. Each trial deck comes with a quick manual and a playmat to get started. The trial decks are straight forward, easy to use and wins games! Honestly, this game is fun because anything is possible. ^^
So what are you waiting for?
